We are looking for individuals to serve on CRESC's Workforce Development Committee. A commitment to serve on the committee by an individual would include the ability to attend a 1 hour committee meeting once every other month and have a strong interest in promoting the hiring of ex-offenders, particularly in private sector jobs. The committee will work with employers, local non-profits, trade associations, the South Central Workforce Investment Board, CRESC member organizations, governmental agencies and others to create a community environment where the hiring of ex-offenders is seen as a way to improve the overall community and the local economy. The committee will collect and disseminate information on ex-offender employment and training programs. The committee will not attempt to duplicate what existing entities are doing like the direct placement of ex-offenders into employment.
Individuals interested in joining the committee please contact Dr. Robert G. Garraty at 717-561-0209 or at rgarraty1@comcast.net
