COLLEGE FOR MENTORS UPCOMING TRAININGS

BASIC 101 MENTORING TRAININGS

First Friday Mentoring College provides free training opportunities for persons mentoring those coming out of incarceration - returning citizens - in their effort to become successful in living productive, crime-free lives.

This 8 hour "Basic Mentor Training" addresses issues one must consider to be successful as a mentor of someone who is or has recently been in prison.  Special emphasis is placed on using your spiritual connection.

Who Should Attend?
  • Those interested in finding out what is involved and determining if they have a passion for walking with formerly incarcerated persons and supporting them in finding success;
  • Those interested in mentoring in Dauphin County Prison under auspices of Christian Churches United (this class is a requirement); and
  • Ex-offenders who want to give back.

CITIZEN INSTRUCTORS:
John Thompson
